scan a PST using SEP 12

We had several PST's sent to us which we need to scan before we can import them to PCs on out network. Can I attach a PST to outlook and then use Symantec to scan the PST for malicious attachments? I see that auto protect is turned on but I need to scan for malicious items in the PST.
