SEP - ransomeware

Hi,

Ransomeware attack having SEP at endpoint.

I just wanted to knw whether SEP EE 12.1.6 stop ransomeware attack,

EU are asking for a confirmation that cryptolocker (ransom-wear) will not affect them, this is cannot be done since the attack happens with variants which cannot be stopped by Symantec. However the customer has received confirmation that Kaspersky can do this.

They engineer even tried providing a workaround but it was not successful.  

Any help would be appreciable.
