SEP database restores

I need a solution

Hey,

I am looking at restoring a number of SEP embedded databases for audit purposes and I need to know a couple of things. I have already looked at the best practise guides so I am going to set up a new SEP manager and use the database restore.

Does the version of SEPM have to be the same as the version of the embedded database I want to restore?

Do I have to give the server the same hostname and IP address?

Do I need the recovery file?

Basically I need to bring up a few old databases and run some reports off them for an audit.

Any help would be great, thanks.

J
