I just upgraded our SEPM server from v14 MP1 to MP2. Install routine completed successfully on the server, no errors. Our SEPM server resides at our datacenter in town. Now when I try to remotely push the new client out to laptops here at our office (which was never a problem with MP1) I get an error that appears immediately after entering the domain name and Administrator password:
"Login to <machinename> (10.x.x.x) failed. The client could not be installed on the remote computer".
I have confirmed the Windows firewall is turned off and the Remote Registry service is running on the client.
When pushing to another client laptop I was able to get past the Administrator credential check and click Send, but then quickly get the error "Failed" under the Deployment Status column. I also got this same result when pushing the MP2 client to a server residing in the same datacenter as the SEPM server, so it doesn't look to be a networking issue.
