Got 2 new Windows 10 (version 1703) machines from Dell today, and cannot get SEP to install.
Workstation:
Dell Optiplex 7050 Desktop
Windows 10 64 Bit
256g SSD HD
8Gig Ram
I can push the package to the Workstation - I can see it is there in the C:\Temp folder, on the admin console it says Successful.
But on the Workstation Symantec does not install - and the Temp folder has only 1 file left in there.VPREMOTE.EXE
All I have done to the PC is the initial Windows 10 setup from new, then Renamed the Computer, added to our Domain, added user account to the Local Admin Group Rebooted at each step.
I have NOT run Windows updates on it yet.
I am logged in as my own domain user account which was added to the Local Administrator group
I have disabled Windows Firewall (all 3 settings)
I have disabled Windows Defender by Policy
I have enabled Remote Registry Service
I have disabled UAC
I have allowed remote Log in (Click System Preferences > Sharing > Remote Login)
I Dont have registry key LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy when I search for it.

From SEPM Console. Version 14 Build 1904 (14.0.1904.0000)
New package Deployment
Include Virus Definitions in the Client Install package
Remote Push
Search network by IP or PC Name.
Username: (Local admin user)
Password: XXXX
Domain: CompanyDomain.
Then it comes up on teh right side ready to install protection client on ....
Select PC then Select Next
Then SEND
I watch on the client PC - the files (approx 300meg) appear in C:\Temp\Clt-Inst folder - then just disappear without running.
This has worked on 2 Windows 10 (Version 1607) machines a few weeks ago without many issues (didnt know of remote registry at the time but did change it to get it to work.)..
I am wondering if there is more in the way of security with the new version of Windows 10 ???
Any clues?
Thanks
