Hello everyone,
Here is the situation:
We have SEPM 12.1 deployed over 2 sites (1 server in each site, Server1 in Site1, Server2 in Site2) with over 1000 client computers.
We needed to replace Server1 in Site1, so we "broke the cluster", here is what we did:
1. We modified Management Server List to ensure that all the clients are connected to Server2
2. We deleted the Remote Site on each site
3. We decommissioned Server1 and put in place a new Server1 (with the same hostname and IP address)
4. We installed SEPM 12.1 on the new Server1 with the "Install an addtional site" option
5. The installation went fine, everything is almost perfect, including replication, etc, all the client computers are connected again to Server1
Here is our problem, from Server1: Admin > Servers > Local Site, I can see the server twice, once as it's hostname and again as its FQDN, I am trying to delete the FQDN one because it's status is Offline and I need it to look exactly as before, when I try to delete it two things happens:
1. The selection jumps to the Server2 from Site2
2. Error message "This feature is not supported for remote sites" is displayed
It is difficult to explain, let me re-phrase, I am trying to delete a server from the Local Site (Section -1- in the picture), but as soon as I click Delete, the selection jumps to Server2 found in the Remote Sites with that error message (Section -2- in the picture) -- Notice how the IP address is the same for both Server1 and Server2.
Any ideas how to fix this?
