Hi;
I have tried to install Endpoint Protection on a client with OS: Server 2008 R2 Standard x64 with Intel Xeon E5520 & 13GB RAM.
When I try to run the client, I'm getting the following error:
"Symantec Endpoint Protection cannot open because some Symantec services are stopped. Restart the Symantec services, and then opn Symantec Endpoint Protection"
I tried rebooting several times and starting the services manually, but it did not change anything. Also in the tray icon, I'm seeing "There are multiple problems (4)" with red disabled mark on the corner, but cannot launch the interface so I cannot tell what those issues are.
Also, I wanted to re-install, thinking that may have solve any issues during installation. When I try to uninstall, change or repair from Programs and Features, I'm getting the following error:
"Symanted Endpoint Protection has detected that there are pending system changes that require a reboot. Please reboot the system and rerun the installation."
I have rebooted several times and the error message is the same. I also tried to delete the Pending File Rename keys from the registry and the message is still the same.
I tried to push the installation package remotely and installing with the setup file locally, does not make any difference.
Symantec Endpoint Manager version is: 12.1.6 (12.1 RU6 MP1) build 6306. Please find the %temp% folder logs in the attachment.
Thank you.
