Hi,
I recently upgraded from Firefox 28 to Firefox 44 on my Windows 7 64-bit workstation.
I also have Symantec EndPoint Protection managed client installed (12.1.1.5).
Ever since upgrading Firefox, loading websites has been very slow. For example, when launching Google for the first time in a session, I usually need to stop and refresh the page a few times before it will load. Then, I can browse OK for a while before the problem comes back.
I've also noticed a lot more blocked actions in the Network Threat Protection log of SEP.
When I temporarily disable SEP, the lag issue goes away.
I've run a full virus scan on the workstation and no problems were detected.
Also, my email application works just fine, and I can ping the sites I'm trying to visit just fine, with SEP enabled.
How can I resolve this issue?
Thanks.
