The client decided to reject the upgrade package - 12.1.6 MP2

Hello all.

I have gotten this problem for a while now. A few support calls were not able to find the cause or the solution.

If we try to use the "Install Packages" tab to set the new client packages, more than half our clients never update.

checking the properties for the computers show the deployment message: "The client decided to reject the upgrade package, version 12.1.6318.6100".

I had this problem with all releases since 12.1.5337.

Steps we tried so far:

- Disabling the password to close the client software on the clients.

- Disabling the tamper protection on the clients.

- Disabling firewalls (windows or symantec) on the clients.

Has anyone ever seem this?
