Client communites to GUP using Sylink.xml. Discussion is underway to place GUP behing Physical Load Balance to share the Load between the GUPs in place. Can you please clarify if a GUP can work behind a Physical Load Balancer?

We tried to re-install SEP with basic protection, but it does not resolved problem.
Could you please advise how to find a root case?

We've encountered an issue with SEP 14.2 RU1 MP1 (14.2.4814.1101) on Windows 10 1803 where Windows Defender Security Center shows "Status Unavailable" for both "Virus & Threat Protection" and "Firewall & Network Protection". If I open SEP, everything looks good, as expected, and opening the Windows Defender Firewall control panel applet shows the "These settings are being managed by vendor application Symantec Endpoint Protection", as expected.
I've tried to do some research on this before posting; TECH247987 doesn't appear to apply in this situation, as that's for an older version. TECH255344 says to check the SepWscSvc and SymELAM services; SepWscSvc is running without error, and SymELAM is enabled but stopped. If I manually start the SymELAM service, the status messages in WSC don't change.
What's weird is if I open WSC right after a reboot, it'll display an indeterminate progress bar (the animated "line of dots" thing) under both Virus & threat protection and Firewall & network protection for about a minute or two, then for about 15 seconds Firewall will go green and say "No action needed" and Virus will show "Threat service has stopped. Restart it now". After that, it reverts back to "Status unavailable".
It shouldn't matter that we have a password set for the SEP client, right? Anyone have any ideas?

We have multiple exception policies setup in SEPM 14.2, is there an easy way to export all exception policies using a tool? Does the API support exporting exception policies?
So I got a trial for SEP 15 to try on my PC for our organization. Did all of the tasks and imported the .dat files from SEPM. Once I download the package shown in the snip, however, it just installs the SEP 14.2 client. Cloud management panel it says it has 15, but the client still says 14.
Is this normal?
Have SEPM syncing to AD and I see my main OU with computers and everything broken down - laptops, desktops, servers. Each of those have different deployments and different policies. There are a decent number of machines that need SEP installed.....and they show up in the Clients list as never checked in, or just no information in general.
Is there an easy way to deploy a certain deployment to those machines? If I go to Install a client, I need to search. I thought there might be an easy way to get those machines that need SEP deployed.
Appreciate any insight.

Random applications and processes trying to access the network. I block them all ofc, but other processes keep popping up. I get new firewall notifications 10-15 times a day.
Its not just the apps I installed, but Windows processes as well: notepad, explorer, host, etc.

I have already enrolled my SEPM on the cloud, latest version 14.2.1_MP1. Found 'SEP 14.2 RU1 or higher clients that are associated with a cloud-enrolled, on-premises SEPM can be converted to SEP 15 cloud-managed, thereby removing the need for SEP client re-deployment.
How can i proceed? I cannot find the Symantec_Agent_Setup.exe installation file which can be downloaded from the cloud console nor Via SEPM client group command.
Please help. Should I activate the cloud-enrolled with a subscription key?
Is there anyway we can re-direct Definition/Updates Log file to another drive/folder?'
I am migrating to a new server and about to install 14.2. Not sure if we can do the redirection during installation or after installaton?

I have 6 * Servers (Windows Servers 2012/2016)
12 * Windows 10
I want to split the servers and clients to update the definition at differant intervals. If a definition is not correct, not to let all servers and clients fail at the same time.

I've had a read of the KBs but I wondered if anyone can add some additional information to the process.
Currently all Win 10 (1903) PCs are enrolled to Symatec MDM as part of the SEP installation. I now want to move the PCs to Intune MDM, the KB article suggests that just disabling the MDM option in the SEP admin will unenroll the devices from the Symantec MDM automatically, is this right? does this work? Or is it best to manually un-enrol the devices, disconnect them from the Symantec MDM then enrol into Intune and then enrol back into SEP? Are there any gotcha's I need to look out for during this process?
Any advice, thoughts gratefully received.

I have one sep client running in the version 12.1.7061.6600, This client is reporting to SEPM cosnole (14.0. Mp). post SEPM cosole upgrade SEPM 14.2.1(14.2.4814.1101). Now client is not communicating to SEPM console . its showing offline in SEPM console.
We did the all basic steps. if any suggestion for further analysis.
Sep client version 12.1.7061.6600(client is running in windows server 2003)
We added an additional 5 device licenses to a customer who had 54 device licenses.
The new license pop up out of groups (Group: none). Groups are where we have all devices gathered, and attach appropriate policies. So what you say we should do, is have like 10 computers from Finance in one group, and 8 computers from Sales split in two groups, to fully use two licenses.
IT MAKES NO SENSE!
Another thing: When I look at a device, I cannot see who uses that device.
How do I find DESKTOP-2REBS2A without naming computers with the users name, or having a 3rd tool to match user and computer? The old on-prem Endpoint Protection could do this!
