Login to SEPM hangs
I need a solution
Hello all!
First of all let me state that I am not very experience with SEPM. So it might be a very simple solution. I am just about to get familiar with an existing installation and I am currently face a problem with login to SEPM 12.1.4013.4013 (on a Win 2008 R2 64Bit).
After typing in userid and password (SEPM Console) the blue progress bar starts as usual, but got stock and the very right end. No login possible. However, I can quit the application w/o any problem (close the login window with the "x" in right top corner).
Strange enough ... when I do NOT quit the SEPM login window and rather just restart the SEPM Service, the login works fine the next time(s). If I am closing the login window, I have to restart the SEPM service again in order to login.
I am using an embedded database. Its a rather simple default installation with less than 50 clients. It used to work fine and I have no idea what broke the SEPM login. The only thing I remember is the uninstall of 2 little freeware tools which are not related to SEP(M) at all.
I have checked several docs about that issue but none help me here (reboot the entire host, java heap, corrupted transaction log), I could not see anything suspicious in the logs, but this is may to my limited experience with SEPM (wihich logs are relevant here?).
Any help highly appreciated!

sep smc service disconnect currently

Hello,
Daily, the sep service smc is disconnected, i must always do a smc -start inorder to run the service , i have muliple gups in my architecture but this issue affects just two of them, the client version is 12.1.3.
Have you any explication about that?

HEllo - I have been notified that there is a new version (12.1.4104.4130) Is this true and where can I get it. I entered my serial number into file connect and all I get is the 12. 1 version. No mention of the 12.1.4101.4130 version.

Hi,
Prev versions of SEP 12.1.3xxx services status before upgrading to latest version
SepMasterService---Auto Started
SmcService--Manual Started
After upgradation to latest version why the symantec services are not set to Auto mode Automatically. ( I don't think it needs to take prev services conf )
I did manual install from package & also tried to push the latest version packages from SEPM also, still services will be in Manual mode.

Server Data Folder on a remote server

Hi,
I'm migrating our database to a remote server. I ran the configuration wizard again, and not sure what to put in "server data folder" field. Do I map to the remote folder on my local server and paste the path in there ? Or is it requesting a shared drive ? I';m assuming its asking for the database files, correct ?
