Hi
Recently Endpoint protection has started blocking home users networked printers, it is seeing the incoming UDP and blocking. This is something that has started to happen recently and searching has found that Symantec suggested resolution is to use an exception. This is fine for single home users however we manage around 10,000 users worldwide from several management servers and cannot create exceptions for each individual user, aside from being unable to predict or obtain the ip address of each users printer we cannot possible create an exception containing 10,000 individual entries.
I have tried contacting support but found they dont answer the phone, the chat system does not load and not can I locate an email address or form to complete and have to say I am pretty dissapointed in the poor level of support offered so I am hoping someone here may have a suggestion or resolution although I am starting to think replacing it with a product supplied by a company who actually want to support their customers may be the best way forwards
