I Need An Article That Explains IEembed.exe

Windows Server 12 64Bit

SEPM 14.0.3929.1200 or SEPM 14.2.760.0000

IEembed.exe showed up (I think in SEPM 12.x) - Is this service used anymore?  We have a tool that detects services running on the servers and I had to allow it using ephemeral ports TCP/UDP.  We are once again justifying ports and if it is still utilized, I need an article. Somewhere I found something about it runs when an administrator logs on.  I have search and only found one thing about it.
