Hello. After recently deploying Endpoint protection across our estate we have encountered two problems where the symantec firewall/NTP has stopped something from working. These were 1) a server using backup exec 15 to back up two remote devices (local backups were fine but remote devices were giving a "target connection lost" error). Creating an alternative firewall policy for our servers then disabling this policy sorted it out. 2) a PC we use to interface with our Avaya IP office system for config changes was unable to save these changes back to the system after install SEP. Right-clicking on the client in SEPM and disabling NTP resolved this issue. Ideally I would like all our protection options fully operational across all our devices and add exceptions for anything that is getting incorrectly blocked, as I would with a hardware firewall. Can anyone point me in the right direction to a) troubleshoot what is getting blocked and b) implement exceptions. Many thanks. Rex.
