device id detected question

Dear Support Team, 

We usually use device id to set policy for using usb device , but we found if there are 6 usb port in the computer , it's device id will be different when user plugin the device by different usb port.How can we setup and easily manage device id ?

(We use https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.HOWTO80... to find the device id )
