How to know which GUP is being used?

I need a solution

Dears,

as the title says, i have lab scenario where i have two subnets (subnet 1 and subnet 2) and each subnet is in a group (G1 and G2), the manager have two network interfaces one connected to subnet 1 and the other interface is connected to subnet 2, in each group i have one client acting as a GUP (client 1 and client 2), assuminng we have client 3 with two network interface cards one connected to subnet 1 and the second is connected to subnet 2 but client 3 has been installed in group G1, the only difference between clients in group G1 and G2 is that G1 blocks ping while G2 allow it in firewall, also beside the single GUP i configuerd Explicit GUP in each group but the list is the same in both groups (if client have IP address in subnet 1 range poll updates from client 1 but if in subnet 2 IP range poll updates from client 2), my questions are as follows:

1- what if i have client 3 connected only to subnet 1 while having the second interface card connected to subnet 2 disabled this should normally means that no one will be able to ping client 1 and 3, correct ?

2-what if I do the opposite for client 3? disabling interface connecting to subnet 1 and enabling interface connected to subnet 2, will this cause client 3 polling policy and content updates from client 2 even if its in different group ? also in this case will I be able to ping client 3 or does this only affect content updates not policy updates?

3-how would i be able to know from which GUP client 3 is polling policy and content updates?

4-Also if I am using Explicit list GUP does it make since to use single GUP? and if both exists how they affect each others and the clients ?

Note: the scenario I am trying to do is for mobile endpoints going from one branch to another, where I want the mobile endpoint to poll updates from the nearest GUP.

Thanks in Advance.
