We are a public library computer lab and are planning on renewing our Symantec licenses, which are woefully out of date. We are currently using version 12.1.3001.165 of Endpoint Protection Manager and our 23 client computers are running version 12.1.1101.401 of the client software.
When we renew, we plan on upgrading the Endpoint Protection Manager software to the latest version. My question is: will the old client software on the client computers be compatible with the upgraded Endpoint Protection Manager? Or will the client computers need to be updated as well in order to receive protection? We are aiming for as little downtime as possible during our software upgrade, so if the older client software would work with the latest Endpoint Protection Manager, that would be ideal. Any advice you can offer would be appreciated!
