VDI Best Practices with v14

I'm helping a client upgrade from v12.x to 14 and the one big outstanding question is best practices with the SVA going away. Any real world recommendations around upgrading without the SVA?  Best practices?

I was also curious if there is a VDI best practices for v14 (all I can find is v12.x)
