here is how I have my Symantec Endpoint Protection environment set up. I have one site with two management servers connecting to a SQL database that resides on a seperate Microsoft cluster. The two management servers are located in different locations for load balancing and basic high availability. I have another location that has a good amount of machines located there. I was wondering if I could setup another management server in the same site as the other two or is there some limitation on the amount of management servers in a site using a single backend databasse. A GUP wouldn't work at this site as there are numerous subnets and a GUP would only be able to provide definitions for machines that are on the same subnet. A LiveUpdate server wouldn't seem to fit also. We've run into some network bandwidth issues with machines in this third site trying to get content / definitions from the two existing management servers. I figure putting in another management server in the third site would resolve my issues? Is it possible?
