Adding exceptions for a exe with mutiple different paths

Hi all. I think I may have been doing this incorrectly, for some time in SEP. We have in house written software that can be flagged by SEP as malicious. To get around this I use exceptions. Problem is that there could be a exe file that gets blocked, but the way it is used by our employees it could be stored in many different places. I will go to Exceptions, Add, Windows Exception, File. I will then select what I want to not scan the file and then just add in the file name, but no path, as there would be multiple paths. But this does not always work. What am I not adding in to allow SEP to ingnor this file no matter where the users launches it from?
