Hi to all,
i have read about this issue on other posts but i think that Symantec should solve what seems to meto be a discrepancy.
I'm speaking about the fact that, it seems to be impossible, using the settings from Symantec Endpoint Protection Manage, to disable the "Disable Symantec Endpoint Protection" option accessible from the windows client interface when we are logged into Windows with an administrator account.
The requests for a password when i try to disable the software with the "smc.exe -stop" command or when i try to uninstall it, works.
First of all i think that a Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager administrator should have higher permissions than a local pc administrator and then win.
In second place what is the reason to require a password to disable or uninstall the software but allow to disable it with a click ?
Thank you.
