I am looking to migrate clients from an independent SEPM running Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, SEPM version 12.1.6 MP3 with an embedded database to a site with multiple SEPMs running Server 2012 R2 Standard, SEPM version 121.6 MP3 with a SQL cluster. The independent SEPM was hosting 3100 clients and using HI policy we were able to get them to download and run the sylink and replacer utility to migrate. We are currently left with 100 clients that weren't able to execute the script successfully.
I recall during the planning stages that we had engaged professional services to come up with a plan and one of the things we were toying with was a wholesale move of the independent SEPM from the embedded database to the SEPM group's SQL. However I attempted to to do so for these last 100 clients wherein I uninstalled\reinstalled the independent SEPM and updated the keystore file. I had also disabled the requirement for a secure connection temporarily. All proved to be of no avail.
Now I am left to come up with a new plan after rebuilding the indepenent SEPM and am looking to see if there is another way to migrate these last 100 en masse other than having to engage another team to deploy the sylink package as I don't have sufficient access to these clients.
