Hi,
I have been looking around for answers, and I don't think I've come up with what I need yet...
So, I am working on moving our SEPM from one system to another. We want to keep all settings, policies and client groupings the same. The database is embedded (recently backed up and saved to a folder on another server).
From all that I have gathered by reading up on this, I am to install the SEPM on the new server as a first step.
My questions are:
1. Will placing the backed up database zip file in the right folder transfer all of the settings to the new server? If not, what needs to be done to transfer the policies... etc. to the new server?
2. To point the clients to the new server, do I simply create sylink files from the appropriate client group folder and run them on the clients?
I am doing this for a small closed network, so running this file on each system individually (though inconvenient) won't be a huge issue.
If someone could give me some direction, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
