after installing trial 12.1.6 not able to log in with the console

I've installed the trial version of the 12.1.6 using windows 10 and when I try to log in to the console it tells me that my user name is incorrect, I tried my name, my email address and no luck, when I log in in the website I have no problem, it lets me check my set up of the profile, however, in the console when I try also to request to remind me or email me my password change request no email is send to my email either. please help, I'm trying to finish the installation of this trial and already is not speaking highly of the software. I've called the support group and they told me that only through forums can be help, and were not of much help over the phone either.
