SEP optional Email tools feature

I need a solution

Hello All,

I'm running 12.1.4 SEPM/SEP clients on a Win 2008 R2/Windows 7 domain of less tha2500 users. My organization's domains (3) have MS Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2010.  I have 3 Client Feature Sets configured as follows:

- Workstations = Advanced Download Protection, MS Outlook Scanner, SONAR and APP & Device Control

- Servers = Same as above

- Exchnage Servers = Same as above, NO MS Outlook Scanner ( just created this)

I'm attempting to install SMSMSE 7.0.2.79 on my Exchange server.  The SMSMSE "Before you Install" says I must uninstall "optional email tools feature of the SEP" prior to installing SMSMSE.  The few tech articles I'm finding about this plug-in are not absolutley clear to me.

1.  If I uncheck MS Outlook Scanner feature does this remove the "optional email tools feature" ?

2.  Is the MS Outlook Scanner Feature the same as "optional email tools feature"?

3. Do I need to de-select the (disable) the SEP Outlook add-in in Oultlook? (not sure how to do this)

4.  Where do I do what ever I need to do,  Just on Exchange, on all servers or on the clients as well?

Symantec has A LOT of really great documentation, but sometimes I find it difficult to locate what I need with searches.

Thank you in advance for any assistance/advice given!!
