SEP reporting via Syslog export: appropriate logging level ??

We've got syslog export going, and our SEP admin set it to "6", in line with Cisco syslog settings.  But the information we're getting via syslog to our log manager is rather sparse.  Are their guidelines for the syslog export ?  Where does standard information stop and debug begin ???
