Symantec Help v2.1.2.80 has been released with support for SEP 12.1.2

SEP Support Tool v1.0.6050.297 is released. With this release comes the end of coding for the SEP Support Tool v1. While this tool will still be available for use, in the next couple of months we will filter it out quickly and future enhancements will be addressed in v2.1.  Just for perspective, the SEP Support Tool has been ran 1,401,622 times to date with 702,153 clicks on issue specific knowledge from the tool. We are hoping to see this type of success with v2.1 across a wide range of products.

 

Major Updates in Symantec Help v2.1.2.80:

  • Support for SEP 12.1.2
  • Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 Support
  • Improved Symantec Power Eraser including latest SMR Library
  • Improved Load Point Analysis
  • SEP log parsing
  • FTP file upload to the Evidence Server

 

Products  that are Supported:

Backup Exec System Recovery, Symantec System Recovery, Symantec DLP Detection Server, Agent and Enforce Server, Symantec Endpoint Protection and Console, Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange

Full Support for BE with Customer Satisfaction improvements is the next target for Symantec Help. Currently BE, BESR and SSR are fully supported in BE Support Tool v1 with support for BESR and SSR also available in Symantec Help v2.1.

 

 

Major Updates to SEP Support Tool v1.0.6050.297 (last release):

  • Notify users that Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 is not supported
  • Add detection of SEP 11.0 RU7 MP3 as the latest build of SEP 11
  • Notify user that SEP 12.1 RU2 and newer is not supported in v1
