I hope you all are doing good. i need few suggestions and recommendations from you. I am doing a SEP 12.1.4 POC for a client and for that i need to implement two specific features of it 1. System Lockdown (application whitelisting ) 2. IPS . I know how to run cheksum and generate file fingerprint and then import it into the SEPM
Following is the list of approved applications which the client wants to run in his envoirement
- Ms Office 2013
- Adobe acrobat reader
- WinRar compression tool
- Ms Lync
- Ms forefront antivirus
- Flash player
- Skype
How should i implement this ? and secondly once the system lockdown ( whitelisting ) is in place then only these approved applications will run. But how would the client will update the windows upgadres and live updates ? isn't this gonna be a problem ? I need your valuable suggestions as how should i go about it. Waiting for your replies .
