I have a rather odd situation occurring within our SEP deployment. We are in the process of standing up some new offices. The process creates 100s of workstations all at once and they are getting added to our SEP environment immediately. I see a spike in CPU activity but nothing above 60% for an extended period of time.
The problem we experience is that our SNAC Gateway Enforcer seems to lose communications with the SEP manger. The failure results in large numbers of user not being able to use our VPN. The SNAC failures seem to occur within days of these new site setups.
Currently, I monitor CPU, DIsk and Memory on our SEPMs. I am thinking about monitoring httpd.exe and smc.exe for their impact on CPU resources.. Does this make sense? Is there anything else I should look at.
Finally, are there Apache performance tuning options I can look at to help me out?
