Savreporter not working

I need a solution

Hello,

I have SAVFL working on 30 Linux clients. They report into the client and are available to see under the monitoring tab. I have Symantec Endpoint manager 12.1.3001 on the server, and am using reporter 1.0.14.

On one linux client a 64 bit Red hat server i have SAVFL installed but the reporter service will not report to the client. when i switch to the runnow mode, this starts successfully. however it never reports to the server - i have set this up correctly in the /etc/reporterd.ini file with the correct attributes

When I look in the log files in /opt/Symantec/Reportingservice/Linux i see a few logs:

Parent_Inv_2013-09-17.log, RegExpDiff.err, ReporterSvc.log and sub_Parent_Inv.err

Parent_Inv_2013-09-17.log states that:

[2013-09-17 19:17:01 Parent_Inv INFO] executing ./RegExpDiff.pl ../Temp/Inventory/2013-09-17-19-17-01_000001.INVENTORY UTF-8 'Symantec AntiVirus for Linux' >> RegExpDiff.err 2>&1
[2013-09-17 19:17:02 Parent_Inv INFO] command is done with result=256
[2013-09-17 19:17:02 Parent_Inv ERROR] Performing Inventory failed (please see RegExpDiff.err for more details), exiting

RegExpDiff.err states that:

Error: Can not find the registry key: \\Symantec Endpoint Protection\\AV\\PatternFileDate.

ReporterSvc.log states that

[2013-09-17 19:18:45 ReportingService INFO] Run Inventory: './sub_Parent_Inv.pl >>sub_Parent_Inv.err 2>&1'
[2013-09-17 19:18:45 ReportingService INFO] Run Inventory: command return=256

sub_Parent_Inv.err

is blank.

I'm guessing that this is an install issue but am not sure. i have re-installed the RPM but the same issue happens.

I am using This is perl, v5.8.8 built for x86_64-linux-thread-multi

Can anybody help please?

Thanks.
